Taken from the Latitude page

Will it work with my phone?
Google Latitude is a feature of Google Maps for mobile on these phones:

* Android-powered devices, such as the T-Mobile G1
* iPhone and iPod touch devices (coming soon)
* most color BlackBerry devices
* most Windows Mobile 5.0+ devices
* most Symbian S60 devices (Nokia smartphones)

It's not that "stupid pre can't do it", it is that stupid google has not yet goggen off their ***** and developed a better gmaps client for webOS.

Pre is just as sophisticated, if not more so, then most phones out there. Give it a month or two and it will be there. It isn't on the Iphone (yet), so why the Pre?

lol it is such a stalker app. I was watching the blip from my girlfriends latitude, and was able to see exactly what route she was taking, very accurately. I sent her a text saying "you arrived at school 48 seconds ago"
she responded "...***!?"

haha, it was just proving that it worked, and to let her know that she needed to shut it off. she did not know that it was on.

Now watch as the iPhone version transmits what direction you're facing too... talk about creepy!

It looks like Google maps updates are sometimes included in webOS updates. If this pattern of bi (or even tri) monthly updates continues, I would bet that we'll see updated functionality of Gmaps on the phone.

"Hi dear, how are you?" -

"Really, you are still at work?"

"Aren't you sitting at the strip club facing the poles?"

Time for all the cheating souls to come clean.

Google Lat does not work on the Pre but seems to work WITH the pre. I have Google latitude installed on my google homepage, one thing I noticed is that it knows where I am, and its definitely being updated somehow by my Pre. Likely when I sign into Google maps?
