Default clock easter eggs "sixtyten" and "4231"

Open the clock app and select the preferences screen.

"sixtyten" allows the user to set the alarm in one minute intervals instead of five minutes.

"4231" apparently removes the dashboard notification when you set an alarm.

To clarify: While on the Preferences screen, you type in the codes. If you do it correctly, the phone will make a sound and vibrate briefly.

I did "sixtyten" and it works. Thanks!

awesome, thanks! I always thought that was odd that they had 5 min intervals (and a 5 nin snooze)

Out of curiousity, how did you stumble upon such knowledge?

Why in the world arent these included options under preferences? I never understood why the alarm was so limited.

I've never bothered to register but had to just to say THANKS!! I tried this and I got it to work on my second try.The phone made a short beep and vibrated and then I was able to set alarm in one minute intervals. But I have to know how the hell did you ever figure out how to do this?? and if you know of any easy codes that will activate the LED notification

This is a great find Jeffgus!

I'm not sure what is more amazing though, the fact that you happened upon this "cheatcode", or that Palm hid it in the first place.

'sixtyten' is a boards of canada song. looks like someone is a fan!

this must have been put in the clock code for testing.

Most likely. I suppose we should be thankful Palm is providing easter egg clues to future updates for those who are looking hard enough!

Like the other apps on the Pre, Clock is written in Javascript. With terminal access, you can literally just read the source code, and presumably our benefactor noticed the code that implements these Easter eggs while browsing through the code.
